LULI LAMPWORK jewellery is made entirely by hand by one craftsman and two designers using the ancient art of making glass beads.
Drawing on the simple technique—dating back to ancient times—of winding molten glass around a rod to form a bead, each piece expresses patterns created by twisting vividly coloured Italian Moretti glass into thread-like strands and winding them together.
“LULI” is an ancient Japanese word referring to coloured glass and gemstones.

「LULI LAMPWORK」のジュエリーは、古来からあるとんぼ玉作りの技術によって、1人の職人と2人のデザイナーの手作業で作られています。紀元前からすでに作られていたとんぼ玉の「溶かしたガラスを棒に巻きとり玉にする」という単純な製造方法に着目し、発色の良いイタリアのモレッティガラスを糸のように撚り合わせ、巻き付けることで生まれる軌跡を文様として表現しています。
LULI＝瑠璃は日本の古語で、色ガラスや宝玉を意味します。
